Summary:
Program of advance economic training of staff of the CPC consisted of eight seminars. Participants are commissionaires and staff of the CPC, predominantly case handlers. First six seminars are focused specific economic issues relevant for the competition law are discussed (theory of supply, meaning of competition, monopoly and its effects, economic foundation of restrictive agreements, economic incentives of abuses of dominance, economic consequences of concentrations etc.). Two last seminars are entirely focused to the empirical analysis and econometric methods used for handling the cases in competition law.
