Summary:
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Commission for Protection of Competition of Republic of Serbia, with the support of the Center for Liberal-Democratic Studies are jointly organising an international conference on "Institution building of the competition authorities in South-eastern Europe". The conference will take place on 2-3 June in Belgrade.
The two-day event will gather officials and the representatives of business and international communities to discuss the design of a competition agency, its dependence on local economic and legal environment, state aid and consumer protection, the structure of the advocacy function of the competition authorities and the role of economics in compeition law enforcement, alongside other topics.
